With age comes experience and wisdom
As Horatio Alger observed over 120 years ago, "You can't put an old head on young shoulders." Or, said another way, "With age comes experience and wisdom." This isn't to say that young people aren't intelligent. It's simply to say that it stands to reason that the longer one lives, the more experiences one has. The more experiences one has, the more wisdom one gains.
Back in Horatio's day, the younger generation learned from stories told by the elders. Even back in my day we did that. My mother lived in England during WWII and her stories taught me more about the war than the History books I read in class because her stories were so much more than the dates and locations we were asked to memorize for an upcoming test.
In our mobile society, many people live nowhere near their grandparents or even their parents. We rarely have the time to sit with our elders and listen to their stories. Information is absorbed in sound bites and through bold headlines and sub-heads on websites. Likely helpful, but not often thought-provoking.
Foresight Through Hindsight shares stories with insight in the same way your parent or grandparent would share. We offer a perspective to be considered. We strive to connect generations in a conversation about making life altering decisions; every single day.
